Yesterday we had one game, which was against Japan. Another close one and played a bit better, but again lost.
Today's game against Switzerland, I sat out and Calvin played. The guys played well and we had them beat until the last rock. Stephen had an open hit to win, but it over curled and flashed to lose 7-8.
We have one more game today, Great Britain at 7pm (2pm CST). We have to win this to have a chance to make the playoffs. GBR has been playing pretty good and beat Sweden this morning. We just need to come out fighting!
Wish us luck!

Exploring Downtown Granada
We got some lunch and now the rest of the guys are napping. Not sure what we might do the rest of the day, but there is talk of going to see a hockey exhibition game this evening, USA vs Spain.

Hotel Genada Center
Finally made it to our hotel in Grenada time for a shower and some good sleep after 24 hrs of traveling. Its been a hell of a day though. After our first flight being delayed 4 hours and missing out connecting flight we got some time to see Paris and still made it to our destination with our luggage!
Oh and the hotel room has a bidet!
Paris
So we don't fly out until 8:40 so we decided to head into Paris. We didn't get to Le Tour Eiffel, but we did make it to Le Louvré and got to experience some French culture. Now time to find some food prior to our flight to Malaga!
Also the Blogger app keeps failing to publish a post when I try to add photos so I will post some pictures later.

Free Beers & Cards
Flight delayed again until 9ish... They tried a new part in the plane but it didn't work. So now they are flying in a new part.
We decided to take advantage of free beer in the Sky Club and play some Presidents and Assholes.
Welcome to my first blog ever. Since I am losing my blog virginity, please let me know if there is anything I can do different to make your time reading this more enjoyable.
For those of you who don't know, my curling team and I are traveling to Granada, Spain to represent the US at the 2015 Winter World University Games! The team consists of our skip Stephen Dropkin, third Blake Morton, second Kyle Kalela, myself at lead, fifth Calvin Weber, and coach Keith Dropkin. Stephen, Blake, and Calvin have competed in this event before. For Kyle and I, it will be our first time. The Winter World University Games is basically a winter Olympics for college athletes. Check the link for more info on the event.
Today is the day we fly out and start our journey to Granada! We will arrive some time tomorrow and then have a few days before the competition actually starts. Our first game isn't until Thursday, so we have a couple days to get acclimated. The full schedule can be found here, just click 'Curling' in the list of sports.
I'm not sure how often I will be able to or want to post, but I'll see what I can do! I will also be posting on Facebook and/or Twitter so follow along!
Time to finish packing and eat some breakfast.
You stay classy USA!
Evan
